Bowen graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2017 with a BA in Political Science. During his time at Holy Cross Bowen was a leader in Working for Worcester, a non-profit organization that builds recreation, learning, and wellness spaces for children and families in the City. He was the organization’s executive director in his senior year, when he organized a volunteer day that mobilized close to 1,000 volunteers who worked at two dozen sites around the City.
Bowen joined the Nativity Worcester teaching fellowship in 2017. He taught health and social studies on the eighth grade team, organized advisory activities, and he was the coordinator of Nativity’s student council. He also coached soccer and basketball. During his time in the fellowship, Bowen completed his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Clark University with a focus in history. He currently serves on the City of Worcester’s Commission on Parks and Recreation and the board of the Massachusetts Service Alliance.
