Karen Ozuna Vargas holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Bridgewater State University. This is her first year at Nativity but she has many years (5+) working in the city of Worcester. Born and raised in Worcester, Karen has worked at multiple non-profit agencies in Worcester and other areas of central MA. In recent years, she has also worked for Worcester Public School as a Building Substitute. She also has experience in working with ABA, emphasizing her importance of meeting her students where they are at. She brings a very full circle approach and has had the pleasure working with many of Worcester youth, and running programs she was once a participant of. She advocates for youth mental health and self care, as it’s vital to the growth and development of the youth she works with.
