Kate brings over a decade of classroom experience to her work as History Department Head and has a special fondness for working with new and developing teachers. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Princeton University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Chicago’s Urban Teacher Education Program. She delights in teaching middle schoolers and appreciates the opportunity to grow in patience and flexibility each day. She believes that imagination is necessary for empathy and imagining the daily lives of people in their historical context is an excellent use of class time. Now in her second year at Nativity Worcester, Kate is adding the role of Mission & Identity Coordinator to her work and looks forward to collaborating with her colleagues and community members to steward the unique mission and identity of the school.
