Emmanuel Bangandozou Mayer Class 2013
Currently, I am working as a delivery driver for Amazon and building my resume and job experience while also working part time as a Fall and Spring seasonal basketball AAU Coach for 5th and 6th graders.
I attend Worcester State University and major in Business Administration. I chose this major because I am good at math and business is also a very broad major that will give me many different kinds of job opportunities.
My proudest achievements personally is being the all-time leading scorer for the Bancroft School Varsity Basketball program with 2,236 career points. Academically, the last two semesters I’ve made the dean’s list for the first time in my college years.
Being in school during the pandemic has actually made it a little easier on my end because I do not have to sit in a classroom. I can be in class in my room in my pajamas. I also have more time and resources to really focus in on my work because teachers are even more understanding.
My favorite Nativity memory has got to be white water rafting. The whole trip was a great time but one memory I do remember is being on the little paddle boats with a former teacher, Ms. Torres. Me being a little 8th grader wanting to paddle towards a rapid and fell out scared for my life. However, Ms. Torres came to rescue me, and everything was alright. It was a great time overall though.
My hopes for the future is to start a business and become a millionaire and hopefully give back to Nativity because the good path I’m on today would not have happened considering where I grew up in the city.
One piece of advice that I’d like to give to Nativity Students and grads is to do your homework. Try not to procrastinate, that was my biggest problem and now that I’ve figured that out and made dean’s list twice.
